Accidental death life insurance is a viable option for consumers who are struggling to obtain traditional term life insurance. It requires no medical exam. Accidental death life insurance is a cheaper alternative but will only cover deaths caused by an accident.

Accidental Death Life Insurance (AD&D)

Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance protects you and your family if you are seriously injured or killed in an accident.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment is also referred to as AD&D and Accidental Death Insurance.

It’s fast and easy to get an AD&D policy.  There are no long forms to fill out, no medical exams to take, and no waiting period your coverage starts right away.

You are guaranteed approval if you are between the ages of 18 and 80 and are a current US resident, no matter your health or occupation.

In other words, this is guaranteed issued!

An AD&D policy helps give you added peace of mind that can only come from knowing that you and your family would be protected in the event of a tragic accident.

Accidental Death Insurance

How Accidental Death Life Insurance Works

If you’re between the ages of 18 and 69, you can choose from $100,000 up to $500,000 worth of coverage. Between the ages of 70 and 80, you can get coverage from $50,000 up to $250,000.

You can also choose to add your spouse to the policy, and even your children. Spouse benefits are 50% of the primary insured’s benefits and child benefits are 20% of the primary insured’s amount.

Benefits automatically reduce by 50% on the policy anniversary following the person’s 70th birthday or after 5 years from the effective date, whichever provides the longest period of coverage.

The policy is guaranteed renewable for life. This means that you may continue the coverage for life by paying premiums when they are due.

Premiums may be changed, but only on a class basis, not based on your individual claim history.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment Payouts

The accidental death insurance policy pays 100% of the benefit shown in the policy schedule if the insured person dies as the result of an accidental injury, which is a strict rule not followed by other true types of life insurance.

For the loss of:

Hands or Arms:100%

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Should I Buy Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance?

Accidental DeathAccidents are the #1 cause of death for people under the age of 45 and a leading cause of death for all adults.

Having an accidental death and dismemberment insurance in your back pocket gives you added peace of mind at a VERY reasonable price.

Also, if a medical condition or lifestyle activity prevents you from qualifying for a traditional life insurance policy, an accidental death insurance policy will offer some measure of protection when you would otherwise have none.

What is Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D)?

Accidental death and dismemberment insurance protects you in the event you are injured or killed in an accident. It can be purchased separately or as supplemental insurance in addition to term or whole life coverage.

AD&D provides a cash amount to beneficiaries if you die or suffer a partial or complete dismemberment injury in a covered accident.

How Do I Buy AD&D Insurance?

You can buy accidental death insurance over the phone by calling us today. There is no medical exam to take, you are guaranteed to be approved, and coverage can start today.

The application is short and can be done totally over the phone or we can e-mail you an application to fax back to us. Whichever you’re more comfortable with.

Do I Have to Take a Medical Exam?

No. This is guaranteed issued coverage and there is no waiting period for your coverage to begin.

You cannot be turned down for coverage as long as you are between the ages of 18 and 80 and live in the United States.

What Does an AD&D Insurance Policy Cover?

An accidental death and dismemberment insurance policy cover death or injuries which are proven to be direct results of an accident.

Accidents involving car wrecks, work-related machinery, falls, poisoning, choking, drowning, and fires are among the accidents that are covered by accidental death and dismemberment policy.

An AD&D policy also covers dismemberment (partial or total loss of a hand, arm, or another body part) as well as paralysis and the loss of sight, speech, or hearing.

Generally, a death must occur within a few months of the accident in order to fall under the policy.

Death or injury that is not directly the result of an accident is not covered by the policy.

What Is Not Covered by AD&D Insurance?

Most accidental death and dismemberment policies do not cover injuries or deaths caused by high-risk activities such as car racing, sky diving, or bungee jumping.

Also not covered are deaths caused by surgery, mental or physical illness, drug overdose, bacterial infection, drinking and driving, suicide, or attempted suicide.
