Life Insurance ConversionThe biggest mistake people make when converting their term life insurance policy to a permanent policy is contacting the life insurance company directly. The life insurance company’s “employees” are order takers and will run the numbers for you. Here’s the problem with this:
- There are different options in converting. For example: you can convert your full policy or a portion of your policy. A customer service person can’t advise you on what to do. They aren’t licensed to give such advice.
- There are different products you can convert to.
- The language in the paperwork they send you can be confusing.
